Chrishall School Official Opening October 29th 1973
The new school at Chrishall was opened on 29th October 1973 by The Bishop of Chelmsford, the Rt Rev John Trillo.
(We have done our best naming these but quite a few are currently unknown so if you can help please let us know!)

As a native of “Cussel” born in the ’20’s I well remember the old school, and ‘Rene Cranwell, as we knew her, and her husband, Bernard, who worked as a carpenter for Drage & Kent and cycled to work every day. Mrs. Cranwell sometimes “helped out” as a teacher with her great friend, Connie Patmore, nee George, who was the infant teacher in the early 30’s.
I have several old photos that I would be happy to send, for interest and for some time now I have felt moved to write a “Who am I?” but am not sure to whom I should send it. Please let me know if you would be interested,
