Chrishall Women’s Institute 1995

Here are Chrishall Women’s Institute (WI) in 1995 with three generations of the same family being members at the same time (grandmother, mother, daughter shown in bold).  We were meeting in the Chapel Hall and it must have been a special occasion to warrant and photograph but I’m afraid I can’t remember what it was.

I am in need of some name reminders please so do let me know who I have missed!

Four ladies, very back row: ? / Mrs Stella Potter / Mrs Chandler / Mrs Norris

Centre row: ? / Mrs Irene Cranwell / Mrs Wright / Mrs Joyce Loveday / Mrs Susan Davies / ? / Mrs Hall / Mrs Gilly Macadam / Mrs Rosemarie Gant / Mrs Violet Rogers / Helen Wiseman

Front row: Mrs Cain / Mrs Cooper / Mary Drury / Florrie Rule

I am certain that the lady to Mrs Potter’s left is my Aunt – Mrs Christine Lilley who was not a member of Chrishall WI when I joined in late 1980’s.

Hello – so if your Aunt was not a member was she just visiting perhaps? How nice!

The lady that you cannot place between Mrs Susan Davies and Mrs Hall (Dorothy) is Mrs Audrey Flack. She was married to Mr Roy Flack. They left the village (moving to Sawston) in the 1970s so she must have come back to visit
