Chrishall School 1973 onwards
In 1972 the children then at the old school were taken out into the meadow to draw pictures of the large yellow diggers that had arrived to start to dig the foundations for their new school. In 1973 they moved in to the spaciousness of four classrooms, “music room” (although it always seems to have been stuffed with music stands and instruments there was certainly no room to play any music in there), a large dining and assembly hall, smaller secondary hall and school offices – and indoor toilets! Here the school has resided ever since and flourishes today (see the school website).
